What is holding you back?

Q. What is holding you back?

A. Well nothing is, is it?

Your job, time constraints, family commitments, education, lifestyle, money or where you grew up? Are these things holding you back? Of course not, nothing is holding you back at all. If something were to, it would be your limiting beliefs.

Beliefs that hold us back are only perceived. We have all picked limiting beliefs throughout life for whatever reason. These beliefs are only our representation of what actually happened or our perception of what is real or not.

What is a belief?

The dictionary states it as;

“An acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof”

We constantly tell ourselves the reason why we cant, a lot changes when we start telling ourselves the reason why we can. Beliefs either serve us or hold us back from our true unlimited potential.

That what we can language we can have. Change your beliefs, change you future.

Change “I am told old for that” to “I just keep getting better with age”

Change “I am not smart enough” to “I can learn anything when I give 100%”

Now is the right time and it always has been. You are exactly where you are meant to be and you have all the resources to need.

You just need to start now.

Rise Up. Out of the everyday and into life.

Are you successful?

Q. Are you successful?

A. Of course you are!

The question should be what defines success?

Is it money? Is it how big your house is? Is it how many cool toys you have? How many staff you manage? Is it how happy you are? Is it how much time you have?

You could ask everyone in the world and they would have a different answer. Even the dictionary has different answers for this question.

noun
1. the favourable outcome of something attempted
2. the attainment of wealth, fame, etc

We all strive to be successful. What we believe as successful should be what matters to us, not other people's version of success.

Tony Robbins said in Awaken the Giant Within.

"Success without fulfilment is failure"

There are plenty of what society sees as successful that are not fulfilled. Define what success means to you write it down, go after it.

Keep striving, you deserve everything that you want and more. Never, ever give up. If something doesn't work, try a different approach. Repeat.

But just remember to smile along the way, take the pressure of yourself and enjoy the ride because thats the fun part. Life is about living not waiting.

Rise Up. Out of the everyday and into life.

6 small things you can do towards a better you

6 small things you can do towards a better you.

You work long hours, the commute is long, time is limited so its hard to find the time for your family let alone head off to the gym and do a workout.

So it got me thinking of simple ways to make the first steps towards a better you. These 6 easy steps are perfect to start you on the journey and don’t take a lot of time. Many of these you have heard before but have you tried them?

1. Drink water not soft drink. Easy one huh? On your break at work pick up your water bottle instead. (Equivalent of walking for 20mins in the calories you save).

2.     Aussies love a drink so I am not going to be naïve enough to tell you to stop drinking (it would be awesome if you did) but if you must, stay away from beer and premix drinks. Try something with lemon and soda water.

3.     What you focus on is what you get and that means what you don’t focus on ceases to exist. Focus on the thoughts that serve you not the ones that don’t.

4.     Play! For all the Mums and Dads this means get off the iPhone at the play center and chase your kids through the structures. Do it for an hour and see how tired you get, your kids will love it. Don’t have kids? Then you have all the time in the world to start a new sport or hobby.

5.     Show gratitude for everything that you have right now. Take time to actually think about what you are grateful for.

6.     Want something more in life? Dream big then write in down. Start today, do one small thing each day towards it.

I hope this helps you on the journey to a better and healthier you.
